"The boxes for which this mock-up is made were used for an earlier piece, which has evolved into We Lost. It was called Cosa Nostra. It also formed a cube, but by two sets of parallel prisms at right angles to one another. I didn’t like it because of the crossing lines at the intersections. On Nov. 16, 1963, the two top boxes were wheeled into position directly over the bottom two, and the elevens were up. This title also comes from John McNulty’s 'Third Avenue Medicine.' 'It means that the two cords on the back of a man’s neck have begun to stick out, the way they never stuck out before his illness'."
